Why did we create SEL Core?
The short answer is: We want to make your life easier. Being a music teacher right now is stressful. Even with school underway, there are still lots of changes and uncertainty. We’re full of questions and concerns about social distancing, online learning and figuring out how to reframe our lessons.
A few things we all need are support, community, and easy-to-use online resources. And to help students and teachers cope with all this change and stress, a healthy dose of Social and Emotional Learning.⠀

Who can use SEL Core?
*ELEMENTARY MUSIC TEACHERS who are interested in incorporating SEL into their classrooms
*ELEMENTARY SCHOOL COUNSELORS OR TEACHERS who would like fun, music-oriented SEL lesson & activities
*ANYBODY WHO WORKS WITH KIDS, or has kids of their own and wants to teach Social & Emotional Learning Skills to them!
Easy to implement and easily adaptable. Most people just need a place to start.
It can be used for just 5 minutes in each class or be expanded to fill an entire 45 minute lesson.
We have an emphasis on music, but it’s not strictly for music teachers. If you’re a teacher in any capacity,
you know the power of music to engage the entire brain. With SEL Core, no music knowledge is necessary.
